Patriarch Porfirije awards President of Hungary with Order of Saint Sava
The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church presented Viktor Orbán with the highest award of the Serbian Church.
On September 5, 2022, the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, presented Hungarian President Viktor Orbán with the highest award of the Serbian Church – the Order of St. Sava, reports romfea.gr.
The President of Hungary was awarded this honor as a token of gratitude for the promotion of traditional Christian values, for the selfless support of the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as for his personal contribution to strengthening friendship between Serbia and Hungary.
The President of Hungary thanked Patriarch Porfirije for the high honor, stressing that he would continue to support Christian values and strengthen fraternal ties between the two states.
As the UOJ wrote, speaking in the United States, Orbán called for supporting the Church and restoring the traditional family.
