The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, has recovered from a coronavirus infection he was diagnosed with two weeks ago. The First Hierarch of the SOC announced this in his profile on the Instagram social network.
“I thank the fathers, brothers and sisters in Christ, who prayed for the health of all of us and took care of our speedy recovery.
May God heal all the sick and strengthen all those who provide medical treatment to them, grant peace and joy in the Holy Spirit to everyone, so that we could gather in the church of St. Savva on the day of his holy memory, January 27, to solemnly revere our First Archbishop and Enlightener,” wrote the Primate of the Serbian Church.
Earlier, Patriarch Porfirije stated that the virus is not transmitted via Communion.
