Patriarch Porfirije was diagnosed with coronavirus after another test.
Serbian Patriarch Porfirije has tested positive for the SARS-CoV2 virus, reports the information service of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
“His Holiness has very mild symptoms of a viral infection, he has been prescribed appropriate treatment and is complying with all epidemiological measures. Thanks to electronic means of communication, he is in constant contact with colleagues and quite calmly performs administrative tasks,” the message says.
It is especially noted that Patriarch Porfirije does not stop praying for doctors, medical staff and all those affected by the epidemic.
The UOJ wrote that Patriarch Bartholomew was discharged from the hospital after suffering a mild coronavirus.
