The OCU "consecrated" a chapel at the training center in Chernihiv Region, while the UGCC will build a temple in the Poltava military unit of airborne assault troops.

In the wake of the adoption of the chaplaincy law, Ukrainian schismatics and Greek Catholics stepped up their activities in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On December 6, the spokesman of the OCU Eustratiy Zoria "consecrated" a chapel on the territory of the Desna training center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Desna village, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

In turn, the Kharkiv exarch of the UGCC Vasily Tuchapets "consecrated" the cross on the territory of the military unit of the airborne assault troops in Poltava. Here the Uniates intend to build their own church in honor of the Archangel Michael, according to the official website of the UGCC.

As the UOJ reported, on November 30, the Verkhovna Rada adopted amendments to the chaplaincy law. Despite the fear of the clergy and believers of the UOC, scandalous norms discriminating against the canonical Church were removed from the law. However, the schismatics almost immediately began looking for loopholes on how to prevent the priests of the UOC from entering the army. The Church, in turn, admitted it will have to stand up for the rights of believers in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
