Xi Jinping urges to Sinify religion
Chinese President Xi Jinping said that religious activities should not extend to education, the judicial and administrative spheres or public life.
Xi Jinping called for the "sinification" of religion in the country. In his opinion, religious activity should be centered around the Chinese Communist Party. This is reported by TASS with reference to the South China Morning Post newspaper.
"The course is embarked upon the sinification of religion; it is necessary to secure that the believers and clergy be centralized around the party and government," the Chinese leader said at a state conference on religious issues.
According to Xi Jinping, religious activity should be strictly limited by the law and not interfere with social aspects of life, education and the judicial system.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Chinese authorities force to abandon faith in Christ for the sake of social benefits.
