The promotion of human rights in line with international standards is highlighted in a statement adopted following a meeting of the Ukrainian and American presidents.

Ukraine will enhance the fight against discrimination against the LGBT community. This is stated in a joint statement on the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States following the meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and Joe Biden, published on the website of the President's Office.

The issue of promoting human rights in Ukraine with the support of the United States was brought out in a statement as a separate item.

“Ukraine will continue to strengthen respect for human rights, civil and fundamental freedoms, in accordance with international standards and obligations, as well as fight racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and discrimination against the LGBTQI + community,” the text says.

It also indicates Ukraine's plans to toughen responsibility for violence, including at the legislative level, against any person "regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or political views."

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the AUCCRO signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education of Ukraine on the protection of traditional family values.
