The OCU and Phanar celebrated the meeting at a joint meal.

Facebook users are discussing the "Lenten" solemn meal of representatives of the OCU and the head of Phanar on the occasion of the visit of Patriarch Bartholomew to Ukraine.

The photo from the gala dinner was posted by the "bishop" of the OCU Gabriel Kryzyna on his Facebook. There are dishes reminiscent of fried meat and fish among glasses with alcohol and pastries on the lavishly served tables of the "hierarchs".

Facebook users responded vigorously to this photo. On a nearby thread, one of the users commented on it with the word "fasting." Another asks, "Is there fish or meat there?" "No difference. We have the Dormition Fast now (one of the most rigorous fasts with the Orthodox when eating meat and fish is not allowed – Ed.)," was the answer.

As the UOJ previously reported, the head of Phanar was delivered to the Verkhovna Rada through the service gate.
