Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich spoke about the impressions of people who participated in the Great Cross Procession – 2021 in the capital of Ukraine.

Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, on his Telegram channel, shared his impressions of the Great Cross Procession, which took place in Kyiv on July 27, 2021, on the occasion of the celebration of the 1033rd anniversary of the Baptism of Rus’ and also spoke about the opinions of other participants.

He wrote that if you briefly describe today's procession, then it can be called simply a triumph. “It is a triumph. Translated from Greek, this word means "celebration", which is actually the cross procession,” wrote Father Nikolai.

The spokesperson for the UOC also noted that even without the official figures for the number of believers who took part in the Great Cross Procession, there were significantly more people today than in previous years. “I will not delve into the numbers, but everyone unanimously says that there are definitely more people this year. Everyone is joyful, inspired, happy. Glory to God!” resumed Father Nikolai.

As reported, according to the estimates of the UOC, over 350,000 believers took part in the Great Cross Procession.
