Earlier Parolin said that Moscow should take part in peace talks.
Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin responded to a question from journalists about Ukraine's offensive in Russia's Kursk region, reports the Vatican News.
"These are events of concern because it means opening new fronts," he said, adding: "In this sense, the prospects for peace are becoming increasingly distant."
Earlier during his trip to Ukraine, Cardinal Parolin urged diplomats to be more creative in finding formulas that can open peace paths, as Zelensky’s peace formula is not enough.
