Supporters of the OCU, who have no relation to the religious community in Perkovychi, arrived in the village to vote on the church's jurisdiction.

In the village of Perkovychi in the Kovel district of the Volyn region, the religious community of the Church of the Archangel Michael confirmed its loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and did not allow outsiders to participate in the vote regarding the church's jurisdiction, reports the press service of the Volodymyr-Volynsky Diocese.

Visitors, "who are concerned about the future spiritual life of Perkovichi," intended to transfer the church to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). This position caused disputes, but at the suggestion of the dean of the Kovel-Vvedensky Church District, Archpriest Vasyl Serhiychuk, only those who have local registration or have lived in the village for more than 10 years were allowed to participate.

As a result, out of more than 60 attendees, only 40 people voted: 24 supported the UOC, while 16 supported the OCU.

As reported by the UOJ, in Irpin, the parish of a deceased UOC priest was "transferred" to the OCU.
