Dialogue, according to the head of the RCC, does not pose a danger to the integrity of the faith.

On June 28, 2024, Pope Francis met with delegates of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, led by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, who traditionally visit the Vatican for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. This was reported by the Roman Catholic Church's website.

The Pope mentioned the importance of such meetings on issues "of great significance for the Churches and the world".

The head of the Roman Catholic Church believes that dialogue between the two Churches "does not jeopardize the integrity of faith".

He asserts that "on the contrary, it is a requirement stemming from fidelity to the Lord and leading, through the exchange of gifts and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, into all the truth (cf. John 16:13)."

As UOJ reported, the UGCC has formed a group to influence the Pope's position on Ukraine.
