On the Feast of the Holy Trinity, the freed Metropolitan Jonathan of Tulchyn and Bratslav was seen in the broadcast of the all-night vigil from the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk.
"Metropolitan Jonathan (Yeletskikh) of Tulchyn and Bratslav prayed at the service," stated the press service of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
As reported, due to a stroke, Vladyka Jonathan is going to travel to Moscow because he urgently needs treatment and rehabilitation.
On June 18, the Vinnytsia Court of Appeals upheld the verdict of the first instance court, according to which the ruling bishop of the Tulchyn diocese, Metropolitan Jonathan, was sentenced to five years in prison with confiscation of property. Vladyka did not admit his guilt.
