In case of holding the LGBT march in another location, the capital's authorities put the responsibility for safety on the organizers.

In Kyiv, the city authorities did not allow to hold the “March of Equality” in the capital's subway, according to the website of the KSCA.

For security purposes, the organizers of the march are asked to choose another location. The message notes that in the case of the march, the responsibility for compliance with all security measures rests with the organizers.

“We understand that human rights and awareness-raising activities aimed at affirming equality are important also in the conditions of martial law. However, the Kyiv Metro is a dual-purpose object and part of the city's critical infrastructure; it is always a high-risk area due to limited space, train schedule and high passenger traffic. We cannot endanger the event participants and passengers. Therefore, to avoid possible provocations, we can not allow the March of Equality in the subway", explained Mykola Povoroznik, KSCA's First Deputy Chairman.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier the organizers of the gay parade said that they would hold their march in the subway.
