Iryna Bohachevska believes that the anti-church law could become a hindrance to Ukraine's path to Europe.

Ukrainian religious expert and head of the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy at the National Transport University, Iryna Bohachevska, stated that in order to divert the attention of the global community from focusing on the violation of freedom of speech in Ukraine, it is necessary to eliminate all imperfections in the anti-church draft law 8371, as reported by New Voice.

"If it (the draft law – Ed.) is not thoroughly polished, if it is not approved by the European Commission, then it may hinder Ukraine's path to the European Union. That is why it is being carefully reviewed, amended, etc.," Bohachevska noted.

She also believes that despite religious processes being slow, as they are associated with people's worldviews, which evolve slowly, during times of war, these worldviews can be changed not through evolutionary means but through revolutionary ones.

As reported by the UOJ, the Servant of the People faction has decided to postpone consideration of Bill No. 8371, which effectively leads to the prohibition of the UOC, until the end of June.
