Kachura: Today 'Servant of the People' MPs to discuss Bill 8371
The MP said that they must make a decision that will be in the interests of the state.
On 22 May, the parliamentary faction of the "Servant of the People" party will convene a meeting to discuss bill No. 8371, which actually bans the UOC, tells MP Oleksandr Kachura from the “Servant of the People” paty to NV.
The MP noted that the "servants" want to hear the opinion of the actual author of the bill – the head of the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, Viktor Yelensky. He added that he had previously met with Yelensky, who, in turn, expressed certain legal concerns about the implementation of the bill.
After the faction meeting, a decision will be made regarding the fate of the bill.
"We must make a decision that will be in the interests of the state, with a cool head, as they say," Kachura added.
As reported earlier by the UOJ, the Legal Department of the Rada criticized anti-church bill 8371.
