The trials on the unlawful deprivation of Lavra monks' right to use the Assumption and Refectory churches have been postponed because of the air alert.

The court sessions regarding the right of the UOC monastery to use the churches and other premises of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra have been rescheduled for February.

Father Nikita Chekman, the lawyer for the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, told a UOJ correspondent in an interview that a court hearing on January 22 at the Northern Economic Appeals Court of Kyiv took place regarding the monks' right to perform services in the Holy Dormition Cathedral and the Refectory Church of the monastery.

"During the court session, an air raid alert sounded, so it was postponed to February 7," Father Nikita said.

He also reported that the second court hearing, which was supposed to take place on January 22 at 3:00 PM, was also rescheduled. Court officials promised to notify about the dates of the next court sessions.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that two court hearings on the Lavra were scheduled for January 22 in Kyiv.
