Priest: Those who don’t know how to cross themselves tell us when celebrate
The UOC priest said that people who impose the dates of holidays on the Orthodox have nothing to do with Orthodoxy.
Secretary of the Synodal Liturgical Commission of the UOC, Archpriest Dmytro Harchuk on his Facebook page commented on the authorities' campaign to impose new dates of Church feasts on Ukrainians.
"Answers to the questions of when to celebrate St Nicholas Day or Christmas should be searched in our tradition, not in some directives and instructions. We are told when to celebrate by people who usually don't even know how to cross themselves properly. And to the greeting, "Christ is born!" they say, "Truly risen. What's going on anyway?" said the priest.
As reported, Dumenko changed his mind about the Lavra following the Julian calendar.
