A comic strip about princesses who married each other was procured for children's libraries in Ukraine at a total of 666,000 UAH.

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute of Books purchased 1240 copies of the book "Princess + Princess: Happily Ever After" for children over 5 years old, according to the website of "All Together!" public movement

In response to a request from the movement, the Ministry of Culture confirmed that comics on LGBT relations were indeed purchased with state funds and sent to children's and school libraries throughout Ukraine.

The book was written by New Zealand writer and illustrator Keith O'Neill.

The list of books, which includes an unusual "fairy tale", was approved by the Cabinet on July 5, 2019.

Authorized for the formation of this list was Yuriy Marchenko from the Institute of Books, as well as the publishing house "Ridna Mova", which published the book. In general, then they agreed on the purchase of books in the amount of 666 thousand hryvnias. How much was spent on comics is not indicated.

The publishers did not hide that the book is aimed at overcoming "stereotypes" about relationships between people. In fact, the comics "contain signs of aggressive propaganda of same-sex relationships,"All Together!” movement's website notes.

As reported by the UOJ, the United States has banned helping LGBT children return to their traditional orientation.
