The OCU discussed the importance of defending religious freedom against totalitarian regimes with the US ambassador to Prague and State Dept reps over a glass of wine.

The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Epifaniy Dumenko, together with the spokesperson of the OCU, Evstratiy Zoria, discussed the importance of protecting religious freedom against totalitarian regimes with US Ambassador to Prague Bijan Sabet and high-ranking representatives of the State Department over a glass of wine. This was reported in the press service of the OCU.

This meeting was also attended by the US State Department's representative on religious freedom, Rashad Hussein, as well as US Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Human Rights, Uzra Zeya. The meeting emphasized the threat to Ukraine's religious and cultural identity posed by Russian military aggression, according to the press service of the OCU.

Recall, in Prague, Dumenko spoke at a conference on religious freedom.

As previously reported by the UOJ, representatives of the OCU assaulted believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Cherkasy and subsequently seized a monastery dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.
