MP: Everyone who committed lawlessness in Bancheny will be punished
Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk stated that the armed forces responsible for the lawlessness at the Bancheny Monastery will face consequences.
Commenting on the raid by armed forces at the Bancheny Monastery of the UOC, Artem Dmytruk, a Ukrainian Member of Parliament, told the UOJ that anyone who mistreats churches and priests will be held accountable.
The MP reminded that several hundred disabled children under the care of Metropolitan Longin reside at the Bancheny Monastery. He also noted that some of the hierarch's children are on the frontlines, defending Ukraine against Russian aggression.
"They came because they wanted to. They came with guns, in masks, they came for reasons unknown. What are you doing there? What have you done for our country? What have you done for victory? Nothing, you are nobody. Everyone who is now committing such lawlessness will definitely be punished – those who steal from our military and those who come today and mistreat our churches and priests," he said.
As reported, armed forces with machine guns cordoned off the Bancheny Monastery.
As the UOJ previously reported, the MP stated that the events at the Bancheny Monastery on November 9, 2023, constitute genocide by the Ukrainian authorities against their own people.
