Social media: Ukrainian authorities plan to close churches for Christmas
The Ukrainian government can close churches at Christmas and only temporarily restrict the work of entertainment establishments.
The government of Ukraine intends to completely ban religious events for Christmas and Christmas holidays. This was announced by the Sheptun telegram channel.
The telegram channel has a draft at its disposal of the planned restrictions on operation of entertainment establishments and festive events in December 2020 and January 2021.
According to this draft, from December 1 to 15 and then from December 24, 2019 to January 14, 2021, religious events will be prohibited. At the same time, Christmas fairs and open-air concerts will be allowed.
In addition, from December 16 to December 29, the work of discos and entertainment establishments will be allowed provided the premises are not more than 50% full and there are no corporate parties.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Shmygal intends to introduce QR codes for all public places in Ukraine.
