Patriarch of Jerusalem: Church is fighting for Christians in the Holy Land
Patriarch Theophilos discussed issues of Christian presence in the Holy Land with European diplomats.
On September 6, 2023, the Primate of the Jerusalem Church, Patriarch Theophilos, stated that the Church continues to struggle for the Christian presence in the Holy Land, reports orthodoxianewsagency.gr.
During a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Irish government and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defence, Micheál Martin, the Patriarch addressed matters concerning Christian presence and pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
On the same day, the Patriarch met with the Finnish Ambassador to Palestine, Paivi Petolkoski. His Beatitude also referred to the Christians who have been living in the Holy Land throughout the centuries and the challenges they face in the Holy Land.
"The Church continues its struggle for them with hope, for the Lord said, 'Fear not, little flock,'" Patriarch Theophilos emphasized.
As reported, the Patriarch of Jerusalem met with pilgrims from Ukraine.
