According to Greek media reports, Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus commemorated the “primate” of the OCU without the consent of the Holy Synod.

On October 24, 2020, the Primate of the Cypriot Orthodox Church, Archbishop Chrysostomos II, mentioned the name of the head of the schismatic OCU Epiphany Dumenko for the first time during the Divine Liturgy. This is reported by the Greek resource Romfea.

This happened during the ordination of the new Bishop Arsinoe in the monastery of Chrysorrogiatissa.

The publication notes that Archbishop Chrysostomos took this step without the consent of the Holy Synod of the Cypriot Orthodox Church.

"The Church of Cyprus from today becomes the third Church to recognize the Tomos of autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine," the Greek resource said.

We will remind, earlier the head of the Cypriot Church noted that it is not a problem for him to recognize the “primate” of the OCU.
