The prosecutor filed a petition with the court to extend the arrest of the Lavra abbot, the court hearing on this was scheduled for June 30.

The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office said that information about the end of the round-the-clock house arrest of Metropolitan Pavel, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra abbot, is not true.

A message from the Prosecutor's Office on its Facebook page claims that the measure of restraint ends on 1 July 2023. At the same time, law enforcers call the metropolitan "a former abbot of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra".

According to the report, the prosecutor has already applied to Kyiv Solomensky District Court for an extension of the arrest, and a court hearing on this was scheduled for 30 June.

Earlier Vladyka Pavel arrived at the Lavra on 29 June. He blessed the participants in the prayer standing and met with the brethren after a two-month absence.

According to the Lavra abbot's lawyer, the judge and the staff of the Solomensky Court Office are obstructing the consideration of an appeal against this court's decision to extend the bishop's 24-hour house arrest.
