Representatives of the Ministry of Culture came to the Lower Lavra with a court ruling that prohibited the obstruction of inspection.

The Commission of the Ministry of Culture has inspected three buildings of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (54, 56 and 57) where a hotel and a café for pilgrims are located, reports a UOJ correspondent.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture entered the unlocked rooms and other premises and made video recordings there. According to the head of the commission, Maryana Tomin, they recorded the technical condition of the buildings, which are monuments of local importance.

The monastery's lawyer Volodymyr Lubianetsky said that the commission presented the court ruling to secure the claim of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve against the monastery. According to the document, the court has forbidden the commission to be prevented from inspecting the monastery's premises.

"Accordingly, representatives of the monastery executed the court's decision and did not create any obstacles. There was no action to seal the premises," the lawyer said.

As reported, since 25 April, the Ministry of Culture has banned visitors from the Lower Lavra territory before 8 a.m. and after 6 p.m.
