Media: Court grants police access to Lavra facilities

Employees of the Ministry of Culture should enter the Lavra together with the police.

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv granted the police the right to access the objects of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the Glavcom reports, citing a court ruling dated April 4. The journalists did not provide the number of the decision.

According to the publication, “Themis provided access to the facilities located at 11 and 15 Lavrska Street. Among them are the Vasilchikovs’ tomb, the granite masonry of Near Caves Square, the premises of the academy, seminary, metropolis, buildings and structures on the territory of the former infectious diseases hospital and two toilets.”

According to the publication, employees of the Ministry of Culture should enter the indicated premises together with the police.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the reserve would pay the police more than UAH 4 million from the state budget for the “protection” of the Lavra.
