Met Theodore on attempts to seize the cathedral in Kamyanets: It's a shame
Metropolitan Theodore said that, trampling on the rights of the believers of the UOC, the persecutors declare that they live in a state of law.
Metropolitan Theodore of Kamyanets-Podilsky and Horodok said that the raiders trying to seize the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Kamyanets-Podilsky violate all constitutional rights and laws, and called it a shame, according to the DOZOR telegram channel on the Pershy Kozatsky.
“We know that state agents, and now radical forces, have ganged up on us illegally. Yesterday they held a meeting of the territorial community, the decisions of which have absolutely no significance for us ... Unfortunately, they do not want to notice this, to recognize this. They just trample on our constitutional rights, our civil rights,” he said.
Metropolitan Theodore said that while trampling on the rights of UOC believers, the persecutors at the same time believe that they live in a state of law.
“They just don't want to reckon with us. They seem to view us as second class people. But at the same time, they declare that we live in a state of law. It’s a shame, dear brothers and sisters! Shame!” Metropolitan Theodore addressed the believers.
As the UOJ reported earlier, the Metropolitan of Kamyanets-Podilsky called on the police to prevent confrontation.
