The UOC delegation has started direct consultations with the UN and other international organizations over the expected aggravation of the situation around the UOC.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has received direct access to the UN to testify to the violations of religious rights, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

The delegation of the UOC attended the events of the 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. The difficult situation of believers and religious organizations of the UOC requires direct access to international bodies authorized to hear cases of human rights violations. Therefore, the UOC believers, with the help of international human rights organizations, have found an opportunity to step up this work.

At present, the delegation of the UOC has begun direct consultations with the UN and other international organizations on the expected aggravation of the situation around the UOC because of the possible eviction of monks, brethren and students of the KDAiS from the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

The work involves providing the UN structures and special human rights organizations with evidence and proof of the problems of UOC believers and religious organizations.
