Cabinet to ease quarantine worship requirements since May 22
The Ukrainian government has established new proximity requirements for worshipers. Now it is 1 person per 10 sq.m.
On May 20, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced the relaxation of quarantine requirements and softened the conditions for worship starting from May 22.
After a government meeting, an infographic with new quarantine requirements was posted on the Cabinet’s page on Facebook, which mentioned, among other things, the celebration of services, while observing the distance between believers. No more than 1 person should be present for every 10 sq. m.
The Cabinet of Ministers also announced the introduction of “adaptive quarantine”, under which restrictions will vary in each specific region depending on the situation with COVID-19.
