Botanical Garden closed, St. Jonah Monastery holds services without flock
Due to the closure of the Kyiv Botanical Garden, where the St. Jonah Monastery is located, services will be held without parishioners. Online broadcast is available.
On April 6, 2020, the abbot of the Holy Trinity-St. Jonas Monastery of the UOC, Archbishop Jonah of Obukhov reports on his Facebook page that due to the quarantine and the M.M. Grishko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, on whose territory the monastery is located, services will be held without the presence of parishioners.
Addressing the parishioners of the monastery, Archbishop Jonah explains: “In connection with the decisions of the authorities, as well as the closure of the Botanical Garden, services will be held, alas, without the presence of parishioners. You can join the brethren through an online broadcast.”
