ES regime to be introduced in Kiev due to coronavirus
In the capital, measures are being introduced that involve an emergency mode, said the First Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Nikolai Povoroznik.
The decision to introduce an ES regime in Kiev due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus was made by the Kiev City State Administration (KSCA) a few days ago. About this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, published on Friday, March 20, 2020, said First Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Nikolai Povoroznik.
“We made a decision to introduce an emergency situation in Kiev two days ago,” the official said. “Documents are undergoing legal procedures.”
According to him, the decision on the emergency was actually introduced by the state emergency commission throughout Ukraine on March 10, "but the day before yesterday we confirmed the strengthening of restrictive measures and introduced an emergency situation in the territory of Kiev city."
“All emergency-related measures are already being implemented in Kiev,” he said.
Povoroznik also clarified that restrictive measures, “unless other decisions are taken to extend or strengthen measures”, will end on April 3. And the possible extension of restrictions, according to him, “will depend on how consciously we approach all the measures introduced today.”
“If we adhere to the established rules today and stay at home, go out only for groceries and at the same time keep our distance from people – then this will be one scenario and can end in early April. If we are irresponsible, for example, by letting children go to a computer club, then the situation will be completely different. And in this case, it is difficult to predict when restrictive measures will end,” explained Povoroznik.
As reported by the UOJ, the Kiev authorities banned mass services until the end of March.
