Patriarch Kirill arrives in Amman to participate in the Synaxis of Primates
The delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church headed by Patriarch Kirill has arrived in Jordan.
On February 25, 2020, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, headed by Patriarch Kirill, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow and All Rus’, arrived at Queen Alia International Airport, which is located near Amman, the capital of Jordan, reports the "Church Today" Telegram channel.
The ROC mission arrived in Amman at the invitation of Patriarch Theophilos II of Jerusalem to participate in the Council of Primates of Local Orthodox Churches.
Earlier, a representative of the Romanian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Rostislav, and Serbian Patriarch Irinej have arrived in Jordan to take part in the Primates’ Council.
As the UOJ reported, the assembly of Heads of Churches will be closed to the media.
The Council of Primates in Jordan dedicated to the "Ukrainian issue", as well as several other pressing problems of world Orthodoxy, will be held at the initiative of Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem.
