President prays for peace in Ukraine at the Wailing Wall
After a prayer for peace, Zelensky announced negotiations with the Russian Federation, thanks to which they plan to exchange all Ukrainians.
On January 23, 2020, in Jerusalem, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky put on a kippah (a traditional Jewish men's headdress – Ed.) and prayed at the Wailing Wall for peace in Ukraine, reports the head of State on Telegram.
“Peace is the main thing that Ukraine needs. It is important that the prayer for peace be heard in such holy places,” Zelensky said.
He also spoke about the beginning of new active negotiations with the Russian Federation, thanks to which they should release all Ukrainians. We are talking about the citizens of Ukraine, who are being held in the temporarily occupied territory and in Russia.
“We have already started a talk with the Russian Federation on the exchange of Ukrainians – everyone, including the Crimean Tatars, other Ukrainians who are in Russia,” the President emphasized.
We recall that on New Year's Eve Zelensky addressed all citizens of Ukraine with a speech about peace, love, and unity. In it, he called not to divide Ukrainians into the “right” and the “wrong” and emphasized that the future of Ukraine is to become a prosperous country, in which there is no war.
