A new temple consecrated to replace the one seized by OCU in Bobrik village
In vlg. Bobrik, a new church was consecrated to replace the one that was grabbed a year ago by the OCU supporters. The temple is dedicated to St. Spyridon of Trimythous.
On December 21, 2019, a prayer house was consecrated in honor of St. Spyridon, Bishop of Trimythous in the village of Bobrik, Nizhyn District, equipped by efforts of local residents, to replace the seized one in honor of Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the press service of the diocese reports.
The consecration was performed by Metropolitan Kliment of Nizhyn and Pryluky.
After completing the rite of consecration, His Eminence Kliment led the first Divine Liturgy in the church.
His Eminence was concelebrated by Archpriest Valery Dashko, Secretary of the Diocesan Administration, Archpriest Evgeny Guz, dean of the 1st Nizhyn Deanery, Archpriest Oleg Ryzhenko, rector of the parish, and the clergy of the diocese.
After reading the Holy Gospel, the Archpastor addressed the believers with a word of preaching.
During the liturgy, a special prayer was offered for peace in Ukraine and for the unity of the Orthodox Church.
At the end of the service, the hierarch thanked everyone, who'd joined the charitable cause, and awarded blessed episcopal letters to the benefactors.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier in the village of Alekseevka of Kirovograd deanery, the consecration of the new St. Michael's temple was completed.
