The UOC DECR has released a newsletter on the violation of the rights of believers and clergymen of the UOC.

In the newsletter, the UOC provides information on the most flagrant cases of violations of the rights of parishioners and clergymen of the UOC, as well as the direct intervention of the Ukrainian government in the affairs of the Church, says the announcement of the UOC DECR.

“In connection with the increase in cases of offences against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as well as to properly inform and pay attention to these cases of the clergy and believers of other Local Orthodox Churches, state authorities, media, human rights and expert organizations, the Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church begins publishing its own newsletter,” explains the UOC.

In this newsletter, which is a periodical, the UOC DECR will briefly report on the most flagrant cases of violations of the rights of parishioners and clergymen of the UOC, as well as the direct intervention of the Ukrainian government in the affairs of the Church. Each individual case will contain appropriate hyperlinks to more detailed information.

The newsletter will be published in Ukrainian, Russian and English.

The release of each newsletter with download links will be announced on the official website of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC.

The newsletter archive will be available in the “Newsletter” section of the UOC DECR site, which can be accessed through the site menu: “Human Rights Defenders” -> “Newsletter”.

The first newsletter for the period 25.01.2019 – 04.04.2019 is available for download today in the above-mentioned section of the site in Ukrainian and Russian.

The English version of the newsletter will be available soon.
