“Get out of Lvov” – S14 radicals leave messages on UOC temples
Activists of the right-wing radical group S14 “reminded” the UOC priests “they shouldn’t be in Lvov” by smearing the fence of the cathedral with relevant inscriptions.
The provocative inscriptions "Moscow Patriarchate get away from Lvov", "MP-FSB", "Hello from Sich", "S-14" appeared on the fence and the gates of St. George's Cathedral of the UOC in Lvov on January 13. The investigative-operative group that arrived at the scene of the incident did not reveal any trace of the inscriptions – perhaps, the parishioners had painted them over, Vesti reports.
According to the outlet, the photos that recorded an act of desecration of the Orthodox temple were later published in social networks by representatives of the radical organization S14, who signed them: “The activists of S14 in Lvov reminded Kremlin agents they have no place in Lvov.”
Also, the publication reports that on the same day, unknown persons stained the facade of the church of St. Prince Vladimir of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with paint and wrote on the front door: “FSB get out of Lvov. S14”.
Recall that earlier Lvov temple of St. Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles had already become a victim of intolerance of nationalists: in October 2018, unknown people glued the walls of the temple with leaflets depicting Stalin and the text: "Stalin Patriarchate is the real canonical name of the Moscow Orthodox Church."
As the UOJ reported, the day before in Uman, unknown vandals desecrated the UOC temple in honor of the God-listener icon of the Mother of God, painting its walls with provocative inscriptions.
