All disagreements arising from selfishness can only be resolved with the help of love, the Primate of the Cyprus Church noted.

The Primate of the Cyprus Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos II, asks the Orthodox world to pray hard for the resolution of the church question in Ukraine. The head of the Church of Cyprus said this on November 7 at a meeting with Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, reports the website of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The participants of the meeting, among other things, discussed the church issue in Ukraine and the situation in inter-Orthodox relations.

“At the moment, the entire Orthodox world should intensify prayers for the resolution of this problem, which can happen, if, of course, the parties involved also strive for this. Soberly, with love and being guided only by the benefit of the Church, we will be able to resolve all the disagreements that arise in our life and are primarily the result of our egoism,” Archbishop Chrysostomos II noted.

Earlier, His Beatitude Chrysostomos II has stated that the Church of Cyprus could become a bridge for resolving the problematic Ukrainian issue so that "there is no schism that will harm the unity of the whole Orthodoxy".
