Primate of the UOC: When a man is going to God – the Lord sends him all he needs
His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine in his homily said that people must seek to put a care for eternity first. It is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
"A person living in the world has two concerns: to take care of eternity and earthly life, and each of them must take its place, – the Archbishop said. – God teaches us that a care for eternity must be in the first place, as the Lord says in the Gospel today," said Metropolitan Onufriy.
"The Lord says that having these concerns, we must seek to put a care for eternity first," clarified His Beatitude.
"If a person properly takes care of going to God to reconcile with God, and only then of some earthly blessings – God sends a man everything he needs, – said the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. – To some people He sends much, to others – less, to the third ones – little, but no matter how much a person has, he is happy, because he has the proper care – of Heaven and earth life – he lives the right life."
Such a person, even if he has little, is able to find the main thing – the right thing for his inner world: happiness, peace and joy. "If a person, on the contrary, puts first the care of wealth, and then, when he has time, he will remember of eternity, he can really gather a lot. But no matter how much he has saved, he will feel most miserable, so taking care of the Kingdom of Heaven and truth of God must be in the first place," said Metropolitan Onufriy.
