Priests and parishioners of seized church pray in tent in Khmelnytskyi

On June 12, 2022, on the feast of the Holy Trinity, the clergy and parishioners of the Holy Assumption Church in the Ruzhychna micro-district of Khmelnytskyi performed the Divine Liturgy and Vespers with kneeling prayers in the open air, reports human rights activist Victoria Kokhanovska on her Facebook page.

A tent served as an altar for the clergy, and the worshippers prayed in the open air; the scorching sun did not frighten the prayers, including both elderly people and families with young children.

As reported, on June 5, the parishioners and priests of the Assumption Church held a prayer standing outside the walls of the Regional Military Administration.

Earlier, the police opened a criminal case over the seizure of the church in Ruzhychna.
