Bishop Victor concelebrates with hierarchs of Polish Church in Chełm

On September 20, on the eve of the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop Victor of Baryshevka concelebrated with the hierarchs of the Polish Orthodox Church at an all-night vigil in the city of Chełm (Poland). The hierarch of the UOC wrote about this on his Facebook page.

The service took place at the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian Church of the Lublin- Chełm Diocese. Bishop Victor concelebrated with Archbishops Paisjusz of Przemysl and Gorlice and Abel of Lublin and Chełm with the participation of the clergy of the Polish Orthodox Church. “All-night vigil on the eve of the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Church of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian in the city of Chełm,” wrote Bishop Victor.

Before the divine service, the hierarch of the UOC took part in a solemn meeting of the copy of the Chełm Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos made on Mount Athos. Bishop Victor, along with the hierarchs and believers of the Polish Church, walked in a procession with the icon of the Mother of God through the streets of Chełm.

As reported, the delegation of the UOC is making a pilgrimage to the shrines of the Polish Church.
