On September 20, 2021, Epiphany Dumenko told the Kharkiv authorities that, according to opinion polls, the OCU is the largest religious denomination in Ukraine, reports the official website of the OCU.

During a "separate working meeting" with the interim chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Mikhail Cherniak, the head of the OCU Dumenko spoke about sociological research in recent years, which, according to him, "convincingly testifies that the OCU is the largest religious community in Ukraine".

In addition, Dumenko told Cherniak that he knows "about information attacks by the OCU antagonists" but his organization "is getting stronger" and growing, and the antagonists "cannot do anything about it".

According to the report of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues to be the largest confession in Ukraine and as of 01.01.2021 has 12 406 religious organizations in its composition.
