In vlg. Buscha, new temple to replace seized one by OCU is consecrated

On July 24, the day of remembrance of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, in vlg. Buscha of the Rivne region, a new church of the Archangel Michael of God to replace the one seized by the OCU was consecrated, reports the press service of the Rivne Eparchy.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Bartholomew of Rivne and Ostroh, the rite of consecration of the throne and the Divine Liturgy was performed by the vicar of the Rivne Eparchy, Bishop Pimen of Dubno.
Bishop Pimen was concelebrated by the secretary of the eparchy, Archpriest Alexander Yegorov, the dean of the Zdolbuniv district, Archpriest Yuri Shevchuk, the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Stetsiuk, and the clergy.
At the Small Entrance, the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Stetsiuk, was awarded the right to wear a cross with decorations.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a festive prayer service was held.
Bishop Pimen congratulated the rector and parishioners on the consecration of the church. The rector of the church thanked the bishop and all those present for their prayers and spiritual support.
As reported, on March 1, 2019, the raiders of the OCU, with the assistance of the chairman of the Zdolbuniv Regional State Administration, took away St. Michael’s Church of the UOC, breaking down the doors with a crowbar.
The construction of a new church by UOC believers in vlg. Bushcha started on October 17, 2019. The project was developed by one of the clergymen of the Rivne Eparchy. The land for the temple was donated by a local resident, Maria Kondratiuk.
