US Charge d'Affaires a.i. meets with Sergei Dumenko

On July 22, George Kent, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the United States in Ukraine, met in Kyiv with Sergei Dumenko, head of the OCU, the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine reported.
The American diplomat was accompanied by the staff of the US Embassy in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by "archbishop" of the OCU Ivan (Eustraty) Zoria.
During the meeting, US Charge d'Affaires a.i. George Kent declared "strong US support for religious freedom free from external influence."
We will remind, earlier the US Embassy in Ukraine assured that the Tomos of the OCU is "an opportunity for all Ukrainians to profess religion in accordance with their beliefs and without external interference."
As reported by the UOJ, on January 3, 2021, the former head of the US State Department, Mike Pompeo, said in his twitter account that he made sure that the United States of America supported the international recognition of the OCU.
