Over a thousand believers take part in cross procession UOC in Bukovyna

On July 16, 2021, a religious procession from Chernivtsi to Storozhinets of the Chernivtsi region took place in the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, in which more than a thousand believers took part.

The prayer procession began at 7:30 from the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Chernivtsi. On the way to the final destination - the Church of the Holy Royal Martyrs in the town of Storozhinets, the believers proceeded through the settlements of Zavoloka, Mykhalcha, Kamennaya and Glybochek.

The video of the procession was published on the Facebook page of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.

All along the way, which was about 25 kilometers, the UOC faithful were accompanied by law enforcers.

According to the press service of the National Police, the leaders of the GDNP in the Chernivtsi region involved a sufficient number of police officers who monitored the observance of public order "in order to prevent offences and provocations at a peaceful gathering".

In addition, law enforcement officers ensured road safety in crowded places.

The National Police of the Chernivtsi region also published a photo and video of the prayer procession of the UOC.

As reported, on July 5, a 40-kilometer cross procession to the Khreshchatytsky Monastery in which 5 thousand believers participate, took place in the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.
