Metropolitan Augustine of Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav participated in the enthronement of the newly elected Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel on June 30 and July 1, 2024, in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, as a representative of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine. During the ceremonial reception following the enthronement service, Metropolitan Augustine read a congratulatory message to the newly elected Patriarch from His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphrius. The bishop also presented Patriarch Daniel with a liturgical set – a cross and two panagias – as a gift from the Primate of the UOC.

The UOC hierarch was accompanied by Archpriest Dmytro Marandiuk, a cleric of the Bila Tserkva diocese.

As the UOJ reported, Patriarch Daniel of the BOC outlined his primary task.
