The demolition of the Tithe (Desiatynna) Church of the UOC in the city center cost 772 thousand hryvnias. As reported by the Ministry of Culture, another 100 thousand was used to fence off the territory after the destruction of the shrine.

"According to information from the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, the museum received 2,266 donations totaling 870,627.06 hryvnias. According to preliminary estimates, the demolition work cost 772,000 hryvnias. The museum transferred this amount to the construction unit of the investment company 'Inzhur'," the statement said.

According to officials, the remaining funds from the collection were used to install a fence.

"In total, 95,315 hryvnias were spent on this. The fence cost 40,642 hryvnias, banners with information about artifacts related to the Tithe Church cost 18,900 hryvnias, and the remaining money was used for fastening and installation. The museum still has 3,312.07 hryvnias collected during the campaign, which it plans to spend on the reclamation of the territory," MKIP noted.

The department claims that the installed structures will be needed to ensure the safety of visitors when the museum can begin archaeological research of this territory.

Also, MinCult claims that the director of the construction company suggests transferring the money for the demolition of the church to help the military.

As the UOJ reported, officials have arrested the liturgical utensils from the Tithe Church. Until the territory was fenced off, Kyiv residents and clergy brought flowers to the site of the shrine's destruction every day.
