On the morning of May 7, the planned demolition of the Tithe Church did not take place. The Dozor_kozak1 Telegram channel published documents stating the postponement of the demolition date because the construction company "will not be able to carry out the work" due to the absence of the necessary equipment on the specified date.
The previous evening, believers came to the Tithe Church for a prayer vigil to prevent unlawful actions and to pray for peace on our land.
Late that evening and this morning, information began to spread in the media about the postponement of the demolition date of the shrine.
"Supposedly, the decision was made on May 3, on Friday. And it seems that the monastery knew about it. We published a document warning about the destruction of the shrine on May 7, which the executors taped to the doors of the church on May 3 around 5 p.m. But that's not all. Our team got hold of documents entered into the automated enforcement system on May 6," the "Dozor" reported.
According to their information, two court determinations were registered: a letter from the Smile Construction construction company and a letter from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve.
"That is, the letter stating that the construction company 'will not be able to carry out the work,' dated May 3, was entered into the system on May 6 in the afternoon. And only then could the lawyers of the Tithe Monastery learn about this decision," the statement said.
The new date of the illegal demolition is not specified in the document. The management of "Smile Construction" asks the executor to notify them five days in advance so that the builders can find the necessary equipment.
As for the letter from the reserve, the director of the reserve, Ostapenko, "agrees to temporarily accept material values" from the Tithe Church after it is destroyed.
As the UOJ reported, believers hold prayer vigils in the Tithe Church.
