Bishop Irinej of Bačka of the Serbian Church meets with UOC delegation

On May 18, 2021, Bishop Irinej of Bačka of the Serbian Orthodox Church met with the delegation of UOC believers led by Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia, reports Romfea.

In the city of Novi Sad, Metropolitan Varsonofy and members of the delegation were warmly greeted by Bishop Irinej of Bačka, who emphasized the fraternal relations between the two peoples.

According to Bishop Irinej, "through these meetings, our unity in God and in the Orthodox faith is confirmed".

In turn, Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia thanked Vladyka Irinej for his hospitality and special support for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Believers from Ukraine visited the Cathedral of the city of Novi Sad, the Archangel Monastery in Kovil and the Monastery of the Resurrection of Christ.

As reported earlier, the UOC delegation from the Vinnytsia Eparchy went on a visit to the Serbian Church.
