The Ukrainian Parliament lacks the political will to vote on bill No. 8371, aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, says MP from "European Solidarity" Rostyslav Pavlenko on the air of the "Priamyi" TV channel.

"So far, there has been no will for this. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada says that he is making every effort to ensure that this bill is considered, but for some reason, he does not do one simple thing – he does not convene the session himself to finally consider it," Pavlenko said.

In his opinion, bill No. 8371 has already been refined and is ready for voting in the second reading.

"It just needs to be adopted. And for this, we just need to gather," the deputy laments.

As reported by the UOJ, despite the announced vote on the UOC ban on March 20, 2024, it did not happen. Information emerged that deputies did not want to vote on other bills, such as the "Mobilization Law". That is why they are sabotaging plenary sessions.
