On March 19, 2024, the Northern Appellate Economic Court is holding another court session regarding the Upper Lavra. This was reported on his Telegram channel by Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
The day before, Father Nikita asked the faithful for their prayers and support.
The session started around 14:00. The brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra are represented by lawyers from the Legal Defense Center of the UOC, who filed a motion to postpone the hearing.
"The first days of Great Lent are currently underway, and the Lavra monks cannot attend court sessions," they explained the reason for the motion.
As reported by the UOJ, the Northern Appellate Economic Court of Kyiv expanded the participation of the monks of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in the consideration of the monastery's appeal regarding the right to use the Assumption Cathedral and the Refectory Church.
